After all, most people snore once in a while. But when people snore most of the time and the sound
produced is very loud and annoying, it should be considered as a serious issue. People need to find
out the cause of snoring in order to treat the problems for goods.

So, what’s the cause of snoring? When people
breathe, they naturally inhale and exhale the air. Sometimes when they inhale the air, it rattles
and makes the relaxed tissues in the throat vibrate. That’s what causes snoring.
Snoring is annoying simply because of the sound produced
– especially when it’s loud and accompanied by coughing.
When people
snore, it means that they’re actually experiencing the narrowing of airways and the vibrate
movements of the nasal and throat tissue, when the air can’t pass freely and smoothly through the
throat, nose, and nasal passage. Lots of people often underestimate this issue, but snoring does
affect the quality of sleep of the people who do it and their family
members.

The other family members may not get enough sleep because
they’re disturbed by the annoying sound. The snoring person can’t have qualified sleeping moments that lead
to irritability, constant fatigue, and other medical issues. Snoring can also be a sign of any hidden medical
problems. It’s possible that people who snore is also suffering from sleep apnea. It’s important to learn
about the exact cause of snoring to treat the issues.
Different Cause of Snoring
The cause of snoring is different from one person to
another. Some people may have floppy throat tissue that will vibrate more with the incoming and out coming
air pass. Some people may position their tongue in a certain ways so they can’t breathe smoothly. There’re
several factors that cause people to snore:

Sinus and nasal issues. When people experience
blockage on their airways passage, of course they can’t breathe well and smoothly, leading to vacuum
buildup inside the throat.

Age. As people get older, their throat and airway
passage becomes narrower. Moreover, the throat muscles are getting weaker.

Physical and genetic traits. Women have wider airway
passage; that’s why, it’s men who tend to snore more often. But again, when people have hereditary
trait where they have narrow throat, enlarged adenoids, or cleft palate, their possibility to snore is
bigger.

Not fit or being overweight. When people are
overweight, they have more fatty tissues even around the throat area. They also tend to have poor
muscle strength that can cause of snoring.

Sleeping posture. When people lie on their back, the
tongue and the throat will naturally become more relaxed and it can block the airway passage.

Medication, smoking, and alcohol. When people consume
alcohol or medicines, those stuffs will cause their muscles to relax. When throat muscle is relaxed,
they tend to snore.
When people want to treat their condition, they need to find
out the real cause of their snoring problem. If the cause of snoring is because of being overweight, then
they need to lose weight and do more exercise. If they have nasal problems, they can discuss things with
their doctors to address their issues and find the right treatment.
